Ever since 1984, Salinovec has hosted a unique event, the so-called "Village Olympics". Competitors compete in traditional sports and games that once graced village life. Every year, this event attracts hundreds of competitors who test their speed, strength, and agility, while reviving old customs along the way.

Among other things, the contestants compete in assembling a plough, walking on crutches, carrying baskets on their heads, and running in sacks, all with plenty of laughter and joy. The sweet sound of music accompanies this joyful event. For visitors, there are also local wines that represent the Ivanec region and local specialties.
