The international mountain race "Ivančica" starts at the central town square in Ivanec, and its goal is to reach the top of Mt. Ivančica. This mountain trail stretches for an impressive 13 kilometers, with an altitude difference of 827 meters between the start and the finish. It is the second oldest mountain race in Croatia. The first such race was held back in 1993 and has been held regularly since then, with the exception of a break during the pandemic. The only mountain race in Croatia older than the “Ivančica” is the mountain race "Boroša".

This exceptional race attracts the most talented Croatian male and female runners as well as passionate runners from various parts of the world. The organization of this prestigious race is entrusted to Athletic Club Varaždin, which strives to provide runners with an unforgettable experience on the demanding terrain of Mt. Ivančica. This mountain race is not only a sporting event, but also an opportunity to share experiences and create lasting friendships among the running community.
