Forest Fairy
One of the most famous legends is related to the altar near Kaniža. The mysterious stone altar hidden in the forest, according to legend, actually represents the remains of a small church that was located in the area in ancient times.
However, since people were corrupt and evil, angels came and took the little church to Murpag, leaving the stone altar behind. Since, according to legend, the forests of the Ivančica mountain were guarded by fairies, the walking path leading to the stone altar is called "Forest Fairy”. The path, about 5 km long, leads through the forest and vineyards, past the Masni Kamen waterfall and the Vukovec stream, to the mysterious stone where walkers find a place to rest their body and soul.
