Andrija Mudri's watermill began its work at the beginning of the 19th century, when there was a small number of inhabitants in Prigorec. It was built from limestone and wood that was procured from the surrounding area. According to historical documents from 1936, based on the decision of the administration of the then municipality of Ivanec, this mill was granted a privilege (concession) for the construction of a dam and the use of water for a period of thirty years. The mill was nationalized for a short time in 1959.
The watermill had a long-standing tradition of grinding grain and was once a very important mill in Prigorec from which flour was transported by cart to the surrounding towns. Initially owned by Andrija Mudri, towards the end of its operation, the watermill was co-owned by the brothers Andrija and Franjo Mudri and ceased operation in 1974. An interesting fact related to this watermill refers to the accidental finding of a small amount of gold coins that Andrija Mudri found while playing as a boy, around 1930. The locals named the family Meljinski in local dialect.
